Detection unit characteristics
The main Detection unit is a “Monolith” based on electrically cooled high-purity germanium detector. The detector and supporting system – electronics and software is designed for rapid identification and quantification of gamma emitting radionuclides with high efficiency.
Detection unit Monolith is a newer cooling technology that no longer requires to perform thermocycle to get the system running in case of power outage. The detection unit together with mechanical Stirling cooler can be switched on and off at any time provided sufficient hours are given for cool down after a shut down or detector warmup.
The Detector unit Complete set includes:
•Over-square shape HPGe detector
•Resistive feedback Preamplifier with cooled input stage
•Interface for State of Health (SOH) monitoring
•NIM standard connector set
